PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve assembly property so that an insulating case is not separated from a can when a secondary battery is inserted inside the can and to prevent foreign substances such as burs. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly, a can in which the electrode assembly is accepted, a cap assembly sealing the opening of the can, and an insulating case which is installed between the electrode assembly and can assembly, and includes two facing long side walls(142) and two short side walls(143). The insulating case has longer width(H2) of both end part of a long side wall than width (H1) of the insulating case. |
