The device has a tubular body (2) whose distal end is introduced in a respiratory path of a patient. A tubular end fitting is mounted at a proximal end (8) of the tubular body in a sealed manner. The end fitting has a projecting lateral tubular element that is connected to a respiratory gas source by a connection pipe. An auxiliary tubular connector (25.2) connects the proximal end of the body to an artificial respirator. The auxiliary tubular connector has an isolating unit e.g. individual obturator (30), that isolates proximal ends (12) of longitudinal channels (5) from open air.
