BROADCAST RECEIVING APPARATUS, AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiving apparatus convenient to use and a method of controlling the same capable of switching a visual point properly when a time zone which can switch the visual point is mixed together with time zones which can not switch.

SOLUTION: The broadcast receiving apparatus receives a program including a visual point switchable image that is an image in which the visual point can be switched. The receiving apparatus includes: a storage means for storing information representative of a visual point after switching when a viewer switched the visual point in the program including the visual point switchable image; and a visual point switching means for switching the visual point of the visual point switchable image, when the output of the visual point switchable image in the program where the visual point was switched has been interrupted temporarily and thereafter resumed, into the visual point of the program stored in the storage means.
