PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct well color variation caused by a two-liquid reaction in performing image formation of a two-liquid reaction type using a processing liquid which insolubilizes or coagulates an ink, thereby obtaining a stable color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a head driver 22 and a head 24 which form an image to a recording medium by applying the ink and the processing liquid which insolubilizes or coagulates the ink to the recording medium; a communication part 12 to which image data is input; an environmental condition detecting part 26 which detects an environmental condition; a color correction part 16 which corrects color variation in performing image formation due to a fluctuation in reaction speed of the ink by correcting a color density of the image data on the basis of the environmental condition; and an output data creation part 18 which creates output data given to the head driver 22 from the image data corrected in the color correction part 16.
