PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening tape being hard to be torn off when wearing it or during wearing it. SOLUTION: This fastening tape 10a for fastening a front body section and a back body section of a diaper includes a base material 30a formed of a nonwoven fabric and a hook material 44 of a mechanical fastener attached to the surface of the base material 30a. The base material 30a has a fixed area 31 to be fixed to the diaper, in the side of one end 11a, and non-fixed area 32 other than the fixed area 31 in the side of the other end 11b, a boundary section 34 between the fixed area 31 and the non-fixed area 32 is formed with depressed portions 51a for reinforcement by pressing, and the tensile strength in the diaper width direction X of the boundary section 34 is enhanced by the depressed portions 51a for reinforcement more than the tensile strength in the diaper width direction X of boundary adjacency sections 35 adjoining to the boundary section 34.
