摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working device and a working method suppressing optical distortion and cutting sag generated at laser beam machining while avoiding a problem of mechanical cutting of a plastic lens such as increase of post-step, i.e., finishing and increase of a working time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Since a gate part GP formed on a periphery of the plastic lens PL is mechanically cut by an end mill 31, generation of the optical distortion and the cutting sag can be easily prevented. Further, since a dry ice powder PD is applied to a cutting/removal area A1 of the plastic lens PL and the end mill 31, the cutting/removal area A1 can be efficiently cooled at less damage. Thereby, temperature elevation accompanied with cutting is suppressed while ensuring a relatively quick cutting/removal speed, and generation of the optical distortion can be reduced.
