MEDICINE PACKING UNIT AND PACKING CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A medicine packing unit (10) provided with a sheet supply section (20) for supplying a packing sheet (21) that has been folded in two along the longitudinal direction, a medicine introducing hopper (40) for introducing a medicine (56) into the packing sheet supplied from the sheet supply section, and a heat seal section (50) for sealing the packing sheet in such a manner that the medicine is sealed in the packing sheet.  The heat seal section is provided with horizontal sealing rollers (54) for performing horizontal sealing, a first drive motor (52a) for driving the horizontal sealing rollers (54), vertical sealing rollers (55) for performing vertical sealing, a second drive motor (52b) for driving the vertical sealing rollers (55), and a drive motor control section (4) for controlling the drive motors.  The horizontal sealing rollers are rotated continuously by the first drive motor, which is in the ON state continuously, and the vertical sealing rollers are either rotated together with the horizontal sealing roller or stopped depending on the amount of rotation of the horizontal sealing rollers.
