EGR VALVE DEVICE

An EGR valve device comprising: a housing having an exhaust gas path formed thereinside; a support shaft slidably supported in the housing through a bearing; a valve mounted to the support shaft so as to open and close the exhaust gas path; an urging member for urging the support shaft in the direction in which the valve is closed; a valve seat insert molded integrally with the housing and allowing the valve to make contact therewith to close the exhaust gas path; and an actuator for driving the support shaft in the direction in which the valve is opened.  Recesses or projections are provided axisymmetrically or uniformly on the outer periphery of the insert molded valve seat.
