Injection time segment defining or assigning method for fuel injector of diesel engine of motor vehicle, involves arranging injection time segments to each other for fuel injectors in temporally non-overlapping manner

The method involves defining or assigning injection time segments (EZa) for a single injection from a series of single injections of fuel injectors (K1-Kn) of a combustion engine i.e. diesel engine. The injection time segments are laterally arranged to each other for the fuel injectors in a temporally non-overlapping manner. The injection time segments of the fuel injectors are apriorily defined or dynamically assigned. The fuel injectors are controlled by an individual output stage (Amp). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a fuel injector of a combustion engine.
