PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for launching a derivative item are provided to automatically generate item information of the next day of individual derivative items after the end of a stock market, thereby conveniently launching individual derivative items. CONSTITUTION: A derivative product generating unit(110) generates information of a derivative product group in a database. A settlement month event date generator(120) generates information about the settlement month of derivative product groups and an event day. A derivative item generator(130) generates next day item information of an individual derivative item. A derivative item price calculator(140) generates price data of the next day from the next day item information of the individual derivative item. A derivative item launching unit(150) launches the individual derivative item on the next day.
