<p>This burner supplied by a mixture of fuel and of oxidizer is intended to generate a flame and consequently heat in order to heat at least one element for treating or one element for filtering the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine. The burner comprises: a burner body (9) having a closed or partially closed end and, on the opposite side to this end, a discharge opening able to be connected to a pipe for discharging said exhaust gases; an electric means (2) for igniting said mixture; means (5, 6) for injecting the fuel and the oxidizer independently of one another in a pulsed manner into the body of the burner in contact with the electrical ignition means (2) at a well defined frequency, the control frequency of said means being identical or different, and being between 0.5 and 30 hertz.</p> |
