PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow measuring device that does not require external server in registering information exclusively on a gas appliance that is used in each household. SOLUTION: A flow measuring device 1 includes: flow-measuring means 17 for measuring, at predetermined time intervals, the flow rate of gas that is supplied to a gas appliance connected downstream of the flow-measuring device 1; a memory means 18 for memorizing the type of a gas appliance that is used by a user; time-measuring means 19 for measuring time during which a gas appliance is used; a determining means 20 for determining the type of an active gas appliance according to the time measured by the time measuring means 19; and a registering means 22 for registering, in a gas appliance memory means 118, a gas appliance found from a result yielded by the determining means 20.
