EXTRACTION METHOD OF SKIN-COLORED REGION USING VARIABLE SKIN COLOR MODEL

PURPOSE: A skin color area detecting method using a variable skin color model is provided to improve skin color detection accuracy by readjusting a skin color model based on a feature and feedback information of an input image. CONSTITUTION: A skin color area is extracted through applying a skin color model to an input image. The skin color area is repetitively extracted by adjusting a threshold value until a rate of a whole image size and the extracted skin color area size is less than a constant value. The skin color area is extracted through applying the threshold value to the skin color model. The skin color model is readjusted through analyzing a feature of a thing area and a noise area.
