INDEXING SAMPLE SHOWING SOFTENING DEGREE OF HAIR HAVING BEEN SOFTENED WITH PERMING SOLUTION

Provided is an indexing sample that is not a hair strand by which the texture (softening degree and elongation rate) of the hair having been softened with a perming solution 1 can be quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated so that even an operator who has little experience in permanent waving can realize in practice the softening degree and elongation rate of the hair by his/her own sense of touch. Nine rubber strands having different rubber hardness levels (5 to 80) are assigned respectively to the softening degrees in 9 grades of the hair having been softened with a perming solution 1 to thereby give indexing samples (1-9) showing the respective softening degrees of the hair.  Each of the rubber indexing samples (1 to 9) is stretched by pulling with hands so as to establish the texture and elongation of the hair at each of the softening degrees 1 to 9 as described above.
