PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence device excellent in light emission efficiency and having a low drive voltage. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence device has at least one organic layer including a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes and containing a compound represented by a general formula (1) in at least one layer of the organic layer. In the general formula (1), each of Z<SB>11</SB>and Z<SB>12</SB>independently represents an aromatic heterocyclic ring or an aromatic hydrocarbon ring, and R<SB>11</SB>represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent.
