PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cell culture that automatically releases cultured cells from a cell culture support and automatically takes out the cultured cells. SOLUTION: The apparatus for cell culture includes a sealed system member 10 that sealably holds the cell culture support equipped with a recess for cell culture in an inner space, a pressure supply part 20 for supplying a water pressure or an air pressure to a second surface opposing a first surface provided with the recess of the cell culture support, a camera 41 for photographing the culture state of cells in the recess of the cell culture support and an image processing action control part 40 having a culture state detection circuit that determines the sizes of cells being cultured from the image photographed by the camera and detects whether the cells are cultured to fixed sizes or not. When the cells are cultured to the fixed sizes, the pressure supply part 20 supplies a water pressure or an air pressure to the second surface by the action signal of the image processing action control part 40 and the cultured cells in the recess S1 of the cell culture support S are released.
