<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new stopper for a container pump which is easily fitted and can effectively suppress the inclination of a conduit. <P>SOLUTION: The stopper 1 for the container pump is interposed between a fitting cylinder fixed to a container mouth and a pressing head to prevent the pressing head from being depressed. The stopper 1 has a storage body 1c with two doors 1a connected to each other via a hinge 1b, and when the doors 1a are closed, side ends e<SB>1</SB>of the doors are mated to form a cylindrical body. Working pieces 1d which are brought into contact with a conduit to generate closing operations of the doors 1a when the stopper is interposed between the pressing head and the fitting cylinder are provided at hinge side ends e<SB>2</SB>of the doors 1a. Cutouts S which extend along the circumferential direction of an inner circumferential surface fc of the storage body 1c to store the working pieces 1d of the doors 1a when the doors 1a are closed are formed at hinge side ends e<SB>3</SB>of the storage body 1c.
