<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking force control device and a braking force control method for controlling braking force of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When braking force of a vehicle C is controlled by applying braking force to a first driving wheel 12 based on engine braking of an engine 2 connected to the first driving wheel 12 through a transmission 10 and by applying braking force to a second driving wheel 20 based on regeneration braking of a second motor 6 connected to the second driving wheel 20, electric power generated by the second motor 6 based on the regeneration braking of the second motor 6 is supplied to a first motor 4 capable of driving a driving shaft of the engine 2 to drive the first motor 4, and a gear change ratio of the transmission 10 is controlled so that the gear change ratio of the transmission 10 is increased as driving torque of the driven first motor 4 is increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
