<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee protection airbag apparatus stabilizing a behavior of an airbag projecting rearward by suppressing a deformation of the case at the time of developing the airbag even with a configuration of being contained in a glove box door. <P>SOLUTION: The knee protection airbag apparatus S includes a folded airbag 40 and an inflator 42 arranged in the airbag 40, both contained in the case 54 attached in the glove box door 20. The inflator 42 includes a main part 43 in a substantially cylindrical form and a fixing part 47 projecting from the main part 43 through the airbag 40 to fix the main part 43 to the case 54. The case 54 includes a reinforcement part 56 formed over the full envelope in the longitudinal direction. The inflator 42 is arranged so that the axial direction of the main part 43 is directed to the longitudinal direction, and supported by and fixed to the rear side of the reinforcement part 56 at a part of the reinforcement part 56 using the fixing part 47. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
