<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device having a flexible organic EL element with improved reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL device includes: an organic EL element 1 where a first electrode 12a is arranged on and in contact with a film substrate 11, an organic layer 12b is provided on the first electrode 12a, and a second electrode 12c is provided on the organic layer 12b; and an external substrate 2 to which the organic EL element 1 is tightly attached and that has a higher heat dissipating characteristic than the film substrate. By being tightly attached to the external substrate 2, the organic EL element 1 is in close contact with the external substrate 2, and this improves the heat dissipating characteristic of the organic EL element 1. Furthermore, by tightly attaching the organic EL element 1 to the external substrate 2, it is possible to alleviate deflection that may occur in the organic EL element 1 which has flexibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
