摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and an illuminating device with light flux build-up characteristics and emission efficiency improved, and capable of being further downsized. <P>SOLUTION: Since an arc tube 4 is formed in a spiral shape part 4e up to its end part, a discharge channel length can be elongated, which enables increase of light flux and improvement of emission efficiency at the spiral shape part 4e.
