PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine tool enhancing working efficiency at a dark place at night and at the time of twilight. SOLUTION: The engine tool includes: a body using an engine as a motive power source; a handle for grasping the body; and a protection part for protecting a hand for grasping the handle between a distal end tool such as a blade and a grasping part. In the engine tool, a lighting means is provided on the protection part. Thereby, since the distal end tool and the periphery of the distal end tool can be widely illuminated using the lighting means without shutting off a light by an engine tool body and the hand and the arm or the like of the worker, a position relationship of the engine tool body, the distal end tool, and the periphery of the distal end tool can be easily visually recognized even at the dark place and the working efficiency can be enhanced.
