PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type disposable diaper including an outer member that is hard to break, is flexible, and is sufficiently permeable and expansible, so that it has favorable fitting performance to an abdominal side part and a back side part, while achieving favorable appearance. SOLUTION: The pants type disposable diaper 1 includes an absorbent body 10, and the outer member 11. The outer member 11 at the abdominal side part A and the back side part B has structure of lamination of outer layer sheets 12A and 12B formed from expansible sheets and inner layer sheets 13 formed from non-expansible sheets. The outer member at a crotch part C is formed to have non-expansible sheets 12C and 13C. The outer layer sheets 12A and 12B on the abdominal side part A and the back side part B are joined with the inner layer sheet 13 with adhesive agent along the whole surface. Ranges L10 of the abdominal side part A and the back side part B where they are respectively overlapped with the absorbent body 10 form a fused junction part 17 where at least either of the outer layer sheets 12A and 12B and the inner layer sheets 13 is fused and hardened to be integrated with the other.
