<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly secured prize converting device capable of the quick conversion without depending on a staff of a prize buyer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A price storage space, in which 30 prizes 2 at the maximum can be stored at a time, is formed inside a prize insertion part 10 in the prize converting device 1. A mu chip reader is disposed in a part of the prize insertion part 10 which demarcates the prize storage space. The mu chip reader can read information on the respective prizes 2 in the number not more than 30 stored in the prize storage space. A control part executes the control to feed bills equivalent to the value of money included in money information to bill outlets 30a and 30b when a security code included in security information matches a security code registered in the security code registration and when the security code included in the security information does not match the security code of the prize information already read within the day.
