<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer for organic EL capable of inexpensively producing a high-quality polymeric organic EL element reduced in film thickness irregularities. <P>SOLUTION: The printer includes: a rotary plate cylinder 11; a letterpress 12 attached to the plate cylinder 11; a support base 13 installed below the plate cylinder 11; a press platen 14 movably installed on the support base 13; a substrate to be printed 15 placed on the press platen 14; an ink supply means 16 supplying ink for a luminous layer to the surface of the letterpress 12; and an ink replenishing means 17 periodically supplying the ink to the ink supply means 16. Further, the printer includes: a plate cover 21 partitioning a closed space around the plate cylinder 11 and between the plate cylinder 11 and the substrate to be printed 15; a supply means supplying a solvent gas to the closed space; a recovery means recovering the solvent gas from the closed space; and a control means controlling the supply means and the recovery means, to keep the partial pressure of the solvent gas in the closed space constant during printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
