<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control printers with different specifications without preparing the specifications different for each printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printing control device (1) is provided with:a means for receiving the kinds of languages supported by the printer (15) from the printer; a means (21) for transmitting a specification information acquisition command for acquiring specification information on a specification supported by the printer to the printer when the received language kind is adapted to a specific language kind supported by the printing control device; a means (21) for receiving the specification information of the printer from the printer in response to the specification information acquisition command; and a control means (21) for executing printing control processing according to the received specification information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
