PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of accurately determining the degradation of lubricating oil in an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This oil degradation determining device includes a friction measuring means for measuring the friction of the internal combustion engine, and a determination means for measuring the friction of the internal combustion engine with the friction measuring means and determining the degradation of the lubricating oil in the internal combustion engine based on the relation of the measured friction values for each of at least two different kinds of operating conditions indicating different friction characteristics in a state where the lubricating oil of the internal combustion engine is degraded.
