<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily respond to a FAX image viewed on a mobile phone. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A FAX read server 10 obtains the FAX image received by a FAX device 12 and obtains a telephone number for communication and a mail address of a sender from the FAX image by performing a character recognition processing. When an access to the FAX read server 10 from a mobile phone 11 is performed, the FAX image is viewed and instructions to make a call to the sender are issued by the mobile phone 11, the telephone number for communication obtained from the FAX image is transmitted from the FAX read server 10 to the mobile phone 11 and the call to the telephone number for communication is automatically made. When a mail transmission instruction is issued, the mail address of the sender is transmitted from the FAX read server 10 to the mobile phone 11 and a mail creation function is activated in which the received mail address is used as a destination address.
