<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-cooled internal combustion engine having no troublesome assembling of the internal combustion engine and excelling in ease of maintenance and installation work for both an oxygen concentration sensor and an oil temperature sensor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The air-cooled internal combustion engine includes a forward-tilted cylinder block 32 and a cylinder head 33, and the oxygen concentration sensor 90 installed to the cylinder head 33. The oxygen concentration sensor 90 is installed on one side of an exhaust port 48 of the cylinder head 33 as viewed in the front face of the cylinder head 33 and the oil temperature sensor 95 is installed on the other side.
