<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit, an image pickup apparatus, and an electronic device that reduce the size of a filter used for image restoration processing, while suppressing the sensitivity to dispersion, in an optical system that extends the depth. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An aberration control surface 213a of an aberration control optical system 210A has a rotationally asymmetric periodic shape of two or more periods in the circumference direction, and satisfies at least one of the conditions; the aberration control surface 213a has the periodic shape of two or more periods in the circumference direction; and the PSF of a light beam having passed the aberration control optical system 210A forms a substantially circular shape.
