PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce a notch of a girder end of a box girder by rendering it as a full web. SOLUTION: The full-web box cross-sectional part of the box girders 17a, 17b which is located closer to the girder end is jacked up, and the existing girder-receiving bracket and a bearing are removed. After attaching a web-reinforcing member 32 in the bridge axial direction to the top end of the web 20 of the girder end, the interruption flange of the girder end is removed. Then, a reinforcing member 34 used for a full web is provided which has a web 34a, a lower flange 34b, and a diaphragm 34c, and girder ends of the box girders 17a, 17b are rendered as a full web. The web is used for bringing the lower part of the web 20 of the girder end into engagement with the cutting part of the web 20 and for rendering the girder end as a full web after cutting the lower part of the web of the girder end with a lower flange 19 and a part of a diaphragm 24. The lower flange is engaged with the cutting part of the lower flange 19 and used for extending the lower flange to the girder end. Then the diaphragm is brought into engagement with the cutting part of the diaphragm 24. After that, the lower flange extended to the girder end is supported to the add-on cross beam via a pivot.
