<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which cancels an influence of backlash of a mirror frame-driving mechanism part comprising a cam slot and a cam follower, without an increase in driving load, to very precisely move a frame member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens barrel includes: a cam frame 23 having a cam slot 23a; a lens-holding frame 24 which has a cam follower 25, which engages with the cam slot 23a, and moves in the optical axis O direction relatively to the cam frame 23; an energizing spring 26 which energizes the cam frame 23 in the optical axis O direction; a plunger-type solenoid 8 which drives the energizing spring 26 in the optical axis direction; and a system controller 1 which makes the plunger-type solenoid 8 work so as to bring the gap of the cam follower 25, which engages with the cam slot 23a, near to one side in the optical axis O direction when the cam frame 23 is adjacent to a prescribed position.
