<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the required quantity of particulates for spectroscopic measurement even if the trapped quantity of suspended particulates is minute when trapping the suspended particulates. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This measuring method includes: a first step oftrapping particulates suspended in a measurement area onto a sample; a second step of accumulating the particulates in a prescribed small area on the sample, the particulates trapped onto the sample at the precedent step and existing almost all over the sample; and a third step of measuring the particulates by a spectroscopic means, the particulates accumulated in the prescribed small area at the precedent step.
