<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure an easy visual determination of the difference of light and dark in a part corresponding to a plurality of spots among images obtained by a solid state imaging device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A controller 84 inputs a preliminary detection value output from a driving circuit 70 by making the driving circuit 70 of the solid state imaging device 10 to perform a driving action in a state where the photoelectric conversion period is set at an initial value, and inputs the detection value output from the driving circuit 70 by inputting the preliminary detection value output from the driving circuit 70, by searching the setting period corresponding to the maximum value among the input preliminary detection values from a data table, and by making the driving circuit 70 to perform the driving action again in the state where the photoelectric conversion period is set as the searched setting period.
