<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always form a fine projecting solid pattern having desired dimensions accurately and uniformly on the surface of a copper bar and a copper foil of a workpiece without causing the degradation of production efficiency and manufacturing yield. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A roll for emboss rolling is provided with: a die body sleeve 1 on which recessed emboss holes 15 for forming the desired projecting solid pattern 9 on the workpiece (copper bar stock 5) are formed on the outer peripheral surface of a hollow cylindrical sleeve material and rolling oil releasing holes 3 which are set so as to release surplus rolling oil 8a, 8b in the direction of the center of a cylinder of the sleeve are formed by ranging to the recessed embossing hole 15 and extending in the central direction of a cylinder of the sleeve material; and a roll shaft body 2 on the outer periphery of which the die body sleeve 1 is superposed coaxially and set so as to be rotated together with the die body sleeve 1. By pressing the outer peripheral surface of the die body sleeve 1 to the surface of the copper bar stock 5 while using the rolling oil 8a and while rotating together with the roll shaft body 2, the projecting solid pattern 9 is formed on the surface of the workpiece (copper bar stock 5).
