<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables efficient production of a cage-type metal oxide modified with an organic group useful as a high-purity organic-inorganic hybrid material in a high yield, and to provide a method for continuously producing the cage-type metal oxide modified with an organic group in a short time optionally as fine particles in nanometer sizes and of the monodispersed system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the cage-type metal oxide modified with an organic group comprises introducing a fluid of an organic group-modified metal oxide precursor and an aqueous medium into a flow path, and mixing both fluids within the flow path under heat and pressure to form the cage-type organic group modified metal oxide.
