The present invention relates to a method for displaying information, in particular in a vehicle, in which at least one object (6) is displayed in graphic form in order to reproduce a subset of the overall information in at least one display mode by means of a display (1) which is mounted, for example, in the vehicle, and graphic data is produced as a function of a control signal by a control device (2), changing the representation of the graphic object (6) such that the graphic object (6) is converted into at least one second display mode. The method according to the invention is characterized in that, in the second display mode, the object (6) is displayed in perspective or three-dimensional form, pivoted about an axis (5) relative to the first display mode of the object (6), and in that, in the second display mode, the subset of the overall information reproduced from the object (6) is greater than the subset of the overall information reproduced in the first display mode of the object (6).
