<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve environment resistance of a magnetic card reader, and to improve stability of a system with a host device. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic card reader 1 for reading magnetic data recorded on a card 4 by a magnetic head 5 includes: a storage part (a part of RAM 104) for storing the magnetic data read and obtained by the magnetic head 5; a comparison part for comparing the total number of data of the magnetic data with a predetermined threshold value; and a determination part for determining the data as valid data when the total number of data of the magnetic data is not more than the predetermined threshold value in the comparison part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
