<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detecting apparatus which can avoid excessive deformation of a radiation detector, does not cause image distortions in the radiation image information and the generation of disconnections, has increased reliability, and can be used and stored highly conveniently. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation detecting apparatus includes a flexible radiation detector 30 for detecting radiation that has passed through a subject and converting the detected radiation into radiation image information and a plurality of first solid block bodies 32A arranged two-dimensionally on an irradiation surface of the radiation detector 30. Each of the first solid block body 32A has a rectangular shape as viewed from the upper surface, and the length of a long side 78 has at least the length of one side 80 of the radiation detector 30, and the first solid block bodies 32A are arranged in a direction (y direction) perpendicular to the side 80 of the radiation detector 30.
