<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device that exhibits sufficient heat dissipating performance and is made compact. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device 1, which has excellent heat dissipation efficiency and is compact, includes: a linear light source section 2 which has a plurality of light-emitting elements arranged linearly, a ceramic substrate which has the respective light-emitting elements mounted on its upper surface and a heat dissipation pattern formed on its under surface, and a sealing portion for sealing the respective light-emitting elements together on the upper surface of the ceramic substrate; a long-sized heat pipe 3 having a connection section connected to the heat dissipation pattern of the linear light source section; a flexible substrate 4 connected to the linear light source section 2 and having a non-connection section of the heat pipe 3 extended from the linear light source section 2 along the heat pipe 3; and a metallic reinforcing member 5 provided in the connection section of the heat pipe 3 on the opposite side from the linear light source section 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
