<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the power saving state of a sub-system step by step according to the content of processing requested for the sub-system when the information processing system is in a power saving state. <P>SOLUTION: In the information processing system including a main system for executing an application and a sub-system for controlling communication with an external apparatus, the power source control means of the main system controls power source supply to the control means, first controller and second controller of the sub-system according to information acquired when the sub-system is put in a power saving state. Power saving configurations include a first power saving mode for not supplying a power source to the control means but supplying the power source to the first controller and a second power saving mode for supplying the power source to the control means and at least either the first controller or the second controller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
