<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for attachment of a base part of a riser tube having good workability and shortening time required for replacing riser tubes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a part in which a base part of a used riser tube has been embedded and fixed is drilled and removed after which a base part of a new one is embedded and fixed therein, a shaped refractory 13, divided into several portions, is laid on the bottom face of a recess 12 formed by drilling around the attachment site of a base part of the riser tube 4, covering the bottom face except for a hole 3. The base part of a riser tube 4, which has been integrally provided with base bricks 14 at its lower end, is arranged above the shaped refractory 13, and apertures between the recess 12 and the base part of the riser tube 4 as well as the base brick 14 and the shaped refractory 13 are filled with monolithic refractories such as mortar. When the base part of the riser tube 4 is arranged on the shaped refractory 13, a tapered spacer 15 is interposed between the base brick 14 and the shaped refractory 13 to adjust the posture of the base part of the riser tube 4.
