A system and method is provided for improving the fitness of an individual. The system and method is based assigning an individual a weekly points value, for example, the points value being reflective of the amount of activity that an individual needs to undertake in order to maintain a certain levels of fitness. Once an individual has been assigned a points value, he is able to choose activities from a list of activities having pre-assigned points values such that when the activities are undertaken the points accumulated by the individual from completing their chosen activities contributes to their pre-set target points value.
