Preparing a feed additive comprises providing at least one nucleic acid sequence of genes corresponding to SEQ ID NO: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24, where: the nucleic acid is expressed in prokaryotic or eukaryotic host cells; and the nucleic acid produces an enzyme corresponding to SEQ ID NO: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25 or a complete, recombinant host organism, and introducing the enzyme optionally together with a co-substrate in the feed. Preparing a feed additive comprises providing at least a nucleic acid sequence of genes corresponding to SEQ ID NO: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 (comprising one of 13 fully defined 565-15420 base pairs given in the specification), where: the nucleic acid is expressed in prokaryotic or eukaryotic host cells; and the nucleic acid produces an enzyme corresponding to SEQ ID NO: 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, and 25 (comprising one of 12 fully defined 183-946 amino acid sequences (odd SEQ ID NOs) given in the specification) or a complete, recombinant host organism, and introducing the enzyme optionally together with a co-substrate in the feed. An independent claim is included for the feed additive comprising the enzyme or complete, recombinant host organism for production of the enzymes, optionally the co-substrate for one or more of the enzymes and an inert carrier.
