<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open a second carrying passage 34 without damaging jammed paper by reducing jam processing labor by simplifying the opening work of inside/outside two carrying guide bodies 42 and 43 of an apparatus body when a paper jam occurs. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first carrying passage 23 for carrying and guiding paper P on an upper stage paper feeding cassette to a recording part 12 in a U shape is formed of the first carrying guide body 41 fixed to the apparatus body and a second carrying guide body 42 at its outer peripheral side, and the second carrying passage 34 for similarly carrying and guiding paper P1 on a lower stage paper feeding cassette in a U shape is formed of the second carrying guide body 42 and a third carrying guide body 43 at its outer peripheral side. The second and third carrying guide bodies are installed in a rear surface opening 35 so as to be openable and closable and rotatable with the lower side as the center, and a hook body 58 arranged in the second carrying guide body is engaged with an engaging object 63 of the third carrying guide body by sandwiching the second carrying passage 34, and releases the engagement by pushing up the hook body 58 by the chip of the paper P1 passing through the second carrying passage.
