PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair-type massager capable of reducing the weight thereof while suppressing noise generated when operating the massage mechanism. SOLUTION: In the massager including a seat portion 2 on which a person to be treated sits and a backrest portion 5 behind the seat portion and constituted by securing the massage mechanism 12 having a treating bodies 14a, 14b in the backrest portion liftably and lowerably in a vertical direction, the backrest portion includes an outer edge frame 10 connected to the seat portion and a support frame 11 extended in the outer edge frame in a vertical direction and liftably and lowerably supporting the massage mechanism, and the support frame is constituted so as to move relative to the outer edge frame by the pushing force of the person to be treated to the treating body.
