PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-worn image display device, capable of effectively preventing breakage in a rod-shaped optical guiding unit that guides imaging light and of readily making the rod-shaped optical guiding unit into a thinner groove form. SOLUTION: The head-worn image display 10 includes a holding unit 12, a rod shaped optical guiding unit 13, an ocular optical unit 14, and a display element 17; when the device is worn on the head of an observer, the rod-shaped optical guiding unit is placed to extend into and locate at the perspective of one of the eyeballs of the observer; while one end of the unit 13 is held on the holding unit, the ocular optical unit is arranged at the other end of the unit; and the display element 17 displays an image. Imaging light of the image displayed on the display element is emitted from the ocular optical unit 14 via the end face of the other end from the one end of the unit and is made incident on one eyeball of the observer, wherein the rod-shaped optical guidance unit 13 is held at the holding unit 12 resiliently in a displaceable manner.
