PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-diameter low-distortion wide-angle imaging lens the overall length of which is short, and an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The present technology includes a first lens L1 having a negative power, a second lens L2 having a negative power, a third lens L3 having a positive power, a fourth lens L4 having a positive power, a fifth lens L5 having a negative power, a sixth lens L6 having a positive power, and a seventh lens L7 having a positive power arranged in this order from an object OBJ side. At least two of the first lens L1, the second lens L2, the third lens L3, the fourth lens L4, the fifth lens L5, the sixth lens L6 and the seventh lens L7 are nonspherical lenses, and the first lens L1 and the sixth lens L6 are nonspherical lenses.
