<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object discriminating device for accurately discriminating a movable stationary body whose installation position is changed not as a moving object, but rather is a stationary body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the absolute position of a detection object detected by a laser radar 2 and a GPS receiver 3 lies within a prescribed distance range, centered at the absolute position of a movable stationary object stored in a movable static object position information database 1F and no other object is detected within the distance range, the detection object is discriminated not as a moving body but rather as a stationary body.
