The machine unit (9) has a drive head arranged between a 6-cylinder internal combustion engine (1) and a manual transmission. The head includes an electrical machine e.g. electrical motor, and a planetary transmission (5), which includes three transmission inlets (13, 15, 22) for the electrical machine, the engine and the manual transmission. The planetary transmission includes a circuit element (20) i.e. brake, for braking or blocking an auxiliary transmission inlet (23). The planetary transmission includes two sets of planetary wheels (17, 18) mounted in a common planetary carrier (16).
